For Our Man by Kazuo Ohno
I did not enjoy this short. In fact, I remember it being said that we were going to be given a horrible short and would have to detect it, and half way through this short I would have bet money that this was it. But after finishing it, I just feel uncertain and a little uneasy. I struggled focusing. I may have even missed pertinent details, but I have no desire to...
Cashback by Sean Ellis
This film posts the simple question: what would you do to mentally get through an eight hour shift of mindless work? There are the obvious answers of playing goofball tricks, refusing to look at a clock, and filling your mind with pointless thoughts, but rarely do you ever think of the possibility of stopping time in your mind. Generally the idea of slowing down time does...

Sooner or Later
Time travel is fascinating on all levels. Although it intrigues me and immediately draws my intention, I am often left confused by the infinite possibilities of time travel itself. Morning Fall
Edward McGinty
This short film was heart wrenchingly sad. My heart has shattered into a billion tiny pieces and aches to be put back together with the understanding of this short. I watched it various times and each time, the piercing gaze of the woman makes me shudder.

No freaking way! I watched this for my Spanish class too and was super confused! It is really well made though, and I contemplated showing it here. You just beat me to it!

Nina que espera or The Girl That Waits/Hopes
I had to watch this short film for Spanish this week and I thought it would be worth posting. The twist wasn’t exactly what I expected, although I did...
“Get That Number”
Stephen Leeds
This short was hilarious and sweet. It was corny at times, but cheese this funny and heartwarming is marvelous.
After watching two times, I finally connected the two films for this week: both contain unobtainable women who, through a series of unfortunate events, become obtainable and unobtainable once more. This film, however, proved to be much...
The Crush
By Michael Creagh
I have had my fare share of teacher crushes. There was Mr. Palmour: the dreamy nerd who listened to great music and wore the cutest clothes. Then there was Mr. Rosch: the cynical history connoisseur who muttered under-the-breath perverted jokes and could babble about my cultural interests for hours. Indeed, I was older when these crushes bloomed so I was aware of the...
